YMC-Triart C8 is a novel, multi-layered, organic/inorganic hybrid particle synthesized with C8 (L7 USP designation).
C8 chemistry is an alternative to the more widely-used C18 chemistry. C8 is of lower hydrophobicity than C18 materials. C8's lesser retention may help shorten total analysis time in the separation of compounds with large differences in hydrophobicity (where a C18 column might yield a long total analysis time), without requiring gradient elution.
Users of Triart are not limited by the usual constraints of pH, temperature, or pressure. Triart is recognized for its mechanical and chemical durability. It is ideal for application at elevated temperature, high pressure, and over a pH range of 1 to 12.
The outstanding mechanical strength of Triart makes it an ideal material for use at the higher pressures typical of uHPLC.

This page describes Triart C8 1.9µm material packed in columns for use in uHPLC. Triart C8 is offered in particle sizes from 1.9µm to 50µm; in a wide range of pre-packed columns as well as bulk media. For a ocmplete description of YMC-Triart C8 characteristics, see our Triart C8 main page.
