Summer Fun and Giving Back!

To celebrate the end of summer, and all the hard work our employees have put in, YMC America hosted a Field Day, complete with tug-of-war, corn hole, Jenga, ping pong (yes, outdoors), bocci ball, frisbee, kickball, and an ice cream truck. We were planning a dunk tank – dunk a member of the Leadership Team for donating to the local food pantry – but the weather ended up being a bit too chilly for that. However, that didn’t stop our employees from donating! We brought approximately 175 pounds of donated goods to Loaves and Fishes in Devens, MA where it was gratefully received. We are proud of our industrious, generous employees. Thanks to our amazing team for making this contribution possible!

Accurate determination of 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱 (𝗣𝗙𝗢𝗦) in food samples is challenging due to bile acid–related compounds (e.g., taurocholic acid isomers). These species can produce the same SRM transition (m/z 499→80) as PFOS, leading to potential false positives without adequate chromatographic separation.
