Summary
The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and commissioning automation and control systems for pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications. This role requires hands-on experience with PLC/HMI systems, system integration, and onsite troubleshooting.
Responsibilities

Design and develop control systems using PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and related technologies.

Implement and debug automation solutions for process equipment and integrated systems.

Develop and maintain software applications (C#, SQL, HMI/SCADA interfaces).

Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, OPC).

Support system integration, FAT, SAT, and onsite commissioning activities.

Diagnose and resolve system issues (hardware, software, network, instrumentation).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process engineers, mechanical, and customers).

Contribute to R&D and continuous improvement of automation platforms.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanics, or a related field.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication skills with both technical teams and customers.
-
Willingness to travel for onsite support (as required).
Required Experience and Knowledge
-
2–5 years of experience in industrial automation or process control systems.

Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networking.

Programming experience in C#, JavaScript, SQL, or similar languages.
Preferred Skill and Experience
- Experience with PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens preferred).
