A Successful Showing at TIDES 2025!

We are wrapping up another very successful TIDES USA event for the YMC America team! The conference was bustling, and we had many insightful conversations at our exhibit.

A couple of highlights were the contributions of J Preston, PhD, with two well-received poster presentations, and Marc Jacob, PhD who led the workshop Sustainable Manufacturing: Continuous Processing and Green Chemistry, and also co-chaired the insightful session, Peptide Discovery to CMC – Peptide CMC Strategies, alongside Matteo Villain, PhD  – congratulations!

We also thoroughly enjoyed connecting with industry peers over two wonderful group dinners.

It was a pleasure to see such a well-attended event and to be part of the exciting developments in oligonucleotide and peptide therapeutics. Thank you to everyone who made it a memorable week!

Eliminating False Positives in PFOS Analysis: The Power of Methanol-Free Separation

Accurate determination of 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱 (𝗣𝗙𝗢𝗦) in food samples is challenging due to bile acid–related compounds (e.g., taurocholic acid isomers). These species can produce the same SRM transition (m/z 499→80) as PFOS, leading to potential false positives without adequate chromatographic separation.
