Groundbreaking Begins!

We are thrilled to share that YMC America has officially broken ground on a significant expansion of our Devens, MA facility! This exciting project will increase our operational square footage by 50%, significantly boosting our U.S. manufacturing capabilities and paving the way for local job growth over the next decade.

A key highlight of this expansion is the enhanced ability to manufacture our state-of-the-art Dynamic Axial Compression (DAC) columns, designed to meet ASME and CE requirements, allowing for direct sales to our valued customers across the Americas and Europe.

As our President and CEO, Mark Dyment, stated, “This investment allows us to significantly enhance our manufacturing capacity and capabilities right here in the U.S. and provides the ability to sell directly to our local customers at a more cost-effective price. It positions us strongly for future growth and innovation.”

We were honored to have local contractors, dedicated DEC officials, including Director Neil Angus, and representatives from the Nashoba Chamber of Commerce join us for the groundbreaking ceremony on May 12th. A special thank you to our CEO, Mark Dyment, who recognized three of our exceptional employees, including Kathy Gregory and Aramis Jean-Louis, for their invaluable contributions to YMC America’s success, inviting them to join in the groundbreaking.

This expansion underscores our deep commitment to the Devens community and our excitement for future growth and innovation in U.S. manufacturing.

Eliminating False Positives in PFOS Analysis: The Power of Methanol-Free Separation

Accurate determination of 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱 (𝗣𝗙𝗢𝗦) in food samples is challenging due to bile acid–related compounds (e.g., taurocholic acid isomers). These species can produce the same SRM transition (m/z 499→80) as PFOS, leading to potential false positives without adequate chromatographic separation.
