4 µm ODS with Three Levels of Hydrophobicity

The J’sphere series of columns consists of three kinds of ODS made from the same silica gel base, each with a different ligand coverage.. The 4 µm, 80 Å silica support provides outstanding chromatographic efficiency, while the high surface area material (500 m2/g) offers exceptional interaction with analytes. This combination provides excellent peak symmetry across all J’sphere products.

The variations in ligand coverage produce three columns with different hydrophobicity, hydrogen bonding capacity, and steric selectivity for tertiary structures. Because of this, J’sphere can be used with confidence to identify structural differences of solutes and to improve the efficiency of separation optimization.

Characteristics

  • Choice of three levels of hydrophobicity
  • Average over 100,000 plates/meter
  • Inert, reproducible support
  • Excellent peak symmetry with basic molecules

Applications

Typical applications include: positional isomers and complexing agents

Phase Comparison
