St Jude Children’s Research Hospital is Recipient of Employee-Selected Charitable Donation
We’re thrilled to announce that YMC America has made a significant donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!
We believe in giving back to our community and supporting causes that make a real difference. In 2024, we empowered our employees to choose the organization we would support. We held a company-wide vote, and the final choice was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
St. Jude is an extraordinary institution dedicated to advancing cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
We’re proud to contribute to their life-saving work and to support their mission of ensuring that no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay. We welcomed Dixon Williams from the regional St Jude office to our facility for a check presentation.
We’re truly fortunate to have such a caring and generous team at YMC and look forward to continuing this project throughout 2025 as well.

Cake was shared as part of the celebration!

Eliminating False Positives in PFOS Analysis: The Power of Methanol-Free Separation
Accurate determination of 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱 (𝗣𝗙𝗢𝗦) in food samples is challenging due to bile acid–related compounds (e.g., taurocholic acid isomers). These species can produce the same SRM transition (m/z 499→80) as PFOS, leading to potential false positives without adequate chromatographic separation.
