Strengthening Global Strategy & Collaboration: Insights from Our Executive Trip to Japan

We’d like to share highlights from our executive team’s recent trip to Japan! We had a productive week of strategic discussions with our parent company, focusing on the growth and innovation of our consumables and bulk business.

It was an invaluable opportunity to align on global strategies and explore new avenues for collaboration. A special shoutout to our CEO, Mark Dyment, for embracing the rich culture by participating in a beautiful and insightful traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony. A truly memorable experience!

We were also delighted to introduce Marc Jacob, PhD, our new Head of Strategic Development for Chromatography Products, to our esteemed colleagues in Japan. Welcome to the team, Marc! We’re excited to see your contributions as we drive our business forward together.

The meetings also included valuable contributions from Jeff Kakaley, Senior Manager of Sales and Applications, and J Preston, PhD,  Director of Separation Sciences. Their expertise and insights were crucial to our strategic discussions. It’s fantastic to see our diverse team come together to shape the future of our business.

We are especially grateful for the support of Kiyotaka Takimoto and his team for their application studies of both peptides and oligos using YMC resins and our Contichrom® TWIN Systems featuring MCSGP with AutoPeak® technology. Their work is instrumental in advancing our solutions and demonstrating efficacy.

This trip has reinforced our commitment to strengthening collaboration and fostering a global perspective. We’re eager to implement the strategic insights gained to better serve our customers worldwide.

Accurate determination of 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱 (𝗣𝗙𝗢𝗦) in food samples is challenging due to bile acid–related compounds (e.g., taurocholic acid isomers). These species can produce the same SRM transition (m/z 499→80) as PFOS, leading to potential false positives without adequate chromatographic separation.
