The Secret Ingredient to Employee Happiness? Brisket.

You know you’re in for a good day when the office air is thick with the smoky aroma of slow-roasted brisket. That was the scene last week at our Kickoff to Summer Brisket Luncheon.
The feast was an epic culinary showdown with our very own CEO, Mark Dyment, and our shipper/receiver (and past-life chef!), Rob Vogel, at the helm. They slow-roasted brisket, each with its own unique blend of spices and smoky (did I hear coffee?) goodness.
But the brisket was just the beginning. In true potluck fashion, our team members brought in an incredible spread of appetizers, side dishes, homemade sauces, desserts, and jello (don’t ask). It was a delicious reminder that everyone contributes to the success of our company, both in the office and in the kitchen.
Beyond the fantastic food, Brisket Day also served a greater purpose. As part of our ongoing, employee-chosen partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, we held a raffle for some fantastic St. Jude merchandise. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our team, and engage with a cause that is close to our hearts.
Events like our Kick Off to Summer are more than just a fun break from the workday. They are a reflection of who we are as a company: a team that enjoys working together, celebrating successes, and giving back to the community. And, of course, a team that appreciates some seriously good brisket.
