YMC-UltraHT series columns are specifically designed for high-speed and high-throughput analysis. YMC-UltraHT series has two products, Pro C18 as our standard ODS and Hydrosphere C18 for hydrophilic compounds. Both of them show the same selectivity and superior peak shapes as 3µm and 5µm Pro series, so an easy method transfer from conventional HPLC to ultra-fast LC is available without changing elution conditions.
- Pro C18 as standard, and Hydrosphere C18 for hydrophilic compounds.
- Superior column performance at higher flow rate and higher pressure.
- Speed-up and cost-cutting for the analysis.
- Applicable to both conventional HPLC and specific ultra pressure system.
- Simple method transfer from conventional HPLC.
- Excellent resolution with back pressure less than that of sub-2µm.

| Sample | : | Butyl benzoate |
YMC-UltraHT series shows the same efficiency as sub-2μm columns for ultra-fast LC system and reduces the system pressure significantly.

Flabonoids
|
|
This example shows the conversion of a traditional HPLC method to one using a YMC-UltraHT column. Since the performance is not decrease even when the flow rate is 3 times as fast as the conventional condition, it can be shorten analysis time 90% without losing the separation characteristics.
Alkaloids
|
|
During the separation of alkaloids (basic compounds), YMC-UltraHT Pro C18 exhibits great peak shapes with much less tailing compared to commercial silica-based sub-2μm columns.
Organic solvent metabolites
|
|
YMC-UltraHT Hydrosphere C18 is able to strongly retain metabolites that conventional silica-based sub-2μm columns cannot separate well.
3% of organic solvent is used, but Hydrosphere C18 can be used with high reproducibility even under 100% aqueous condition.

YMC-UltraHT column can resolve 38% more peaks than a conventional 5μm column with increased sensitivity.

Cephalosporin antibiotics
|
|
YMC-UltraHT series can be used for fast analysis with conventional LC system, as its pressure is lower than conventional sub-2μm column. Considering the extra column band broadening, the column of 3.0 mmI.D. is more applicable for conventional LC system than the column of 2.0 mmI.D.
